En 1911, l&rsquo;un des vols d&rsquo;\u0153uvres d&rsquo;art les plus spectaculaires de l&rsquo;histoire s&rsquo;est produit lorsque le tableau a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9rob\u00e9 au Louvre. Le vol de la Joconde a provoqu\u00e9 une hyst\u00e9rie m\u00e9diatique mondiale et a transform\u00e9 le tableau en mythe.<\/p><p>Le voleur, Vincenzo Peruggia, un artisan italien, a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 d\u00e9rober le tableau au mus\u00e9e sans se faire remarquer en le cachant sous ses v\u00eatements. Il \u00e9tait convaincu que la Joconde devait avoir sa place l\u00e9gitime en Italie. Cependant, le tableau est rest\u00e9 introuvable pendant deux ans.<\/p><p>Finalement, Peruggia a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 \u00e0 Florence alors qu&rsquo;il tentait de vendre l&rsquo;\u0153uvre vol\u00e9e \u00e0 un marchand d&rsquo;art. La Joconde est revenue triomphalement en France et a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 nouveau au public au Louvre. Il l&rsquo;a fait accrocher dans sa chambre \u00e0 coucher pour pouvoir l&rsquo;admirer en priv\u00e9.<\/p><p><strong>Pablo Picasso<\/strong>, l&rsquo;un des artistes les plus influents du XXe si\u00e8cle, \u00e9tait \u00e9galement fascin\u00e9 par La Joconde. Il admirait la technique de Vinci et sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 rendre une figure de mani\u00e8re aussi vivante. Apr\u00e8s le vol de la Joconde, Pablo Picasso a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 soup\u00e7onn\u00e9, mais la perquisition de son appartement \u00e0 Paris l&rsquo;a disculp\u00e9 dans cette affaire &#8211; il est toutefois int\u00e9ressant de noter que la police a trouv\u00e9 \u00e0 la place plusieurs statues plus petites, qui appartenaient manifestement au Louvre.<\/p><p>M\u00eame <strong>Vincent van Gogh<\/strong>, qui \u00e9tait lui-m\u00eame un peintre important, ne tarissait pas d&rsquo;\u00e9loges sur la Joconde.
